Homeowners in Harrisonburg, VA Wilmington, NC, especially those who are working from home either part-time or full-time, dream about creating an in-home spa where they can take a few minutes all to themselves to wash away the stresses of the day, recharge and rejuvenate the bodies and spirits. Demand for in-home spas featuring steam systems, massage therapies, aroma, sound and color therapies, heated floors, smart mirrors, toilets and faucets have skyrocketed. If you want to join other homeowners in Harrisonburg, VA Wilmington, NC to create the primary bath of your dreams, here are several of the most successful practices for your dream bath remodel.
Don’t start demolition until you have received all of the fixtures and components that have been specified. These can include the shower system (valves, body sprays, rain heads, handheld showerhead, benches, steam unit, controller, etc.), faucets, sinks, storage solutions, toilet, vanity, countertop, lighting, hardware, mirrors, heated floor, ventilation systems and other products. Request that your designer and installer develop a renovation timeline and projected lead times.
Determine another bathroom that you will use when the primary is being renovated. This can create challenges in busy homes with children. Many homeowners in Harrisonburg, VA Wilmington, NC overcome this challenge by developing a schedule for when each family member will use the bathroom. If there is only one bathroom that will serve multiple family members, pare down the number of products in the bath to make it easier to manage. It may not be practical or probable to have four different shampoos, conditioners, lotions, soaps, towels, hair dryers, etc.
Similar to kitchens, stuff tends to pile up in vanities and storage cabinets in bathrooms. Prior to the renovation, pare down what you will need to use in the alternative bath when the primary is not available. Put into storage all items that family members do not use every day. Don’t overlook the medicine cabinet as an opportunity to create more space.
Identify alternative spaces in the home where family members can apply makeup, shave, brush teeth and perform other typical tasks that are ordinarily performed in the bathroom.
Create extra storage in the bathroom that will be used by adding a bathroom and shower caddy that can be used to store toiletries and hang an over-the-door travel cosmetic bag or shoe bag that can be used to store different toiletries. For towels, create additional options by using over-the-door hooks either in the bath or in a nearby closet. If you have a linen closet near or in your bath, that represents another great storage option for bath supplies used daily during a renovation.
Focus on the end result. Bath renovations can be challenging, but they are definitely worth the effort. How can you better prepare for a primary bath renovation that converts your existing space into an in-home spa? Give us a call at Wilmington(910) 877-8297 or Harrisonburg (540) 405-8898or make an appointment to visit our showroom at Harrisonburg, VA Wilmington, NC and let us design a dream bath that will make you smile every day.

Don't just take our word for it. Here's what some of our satisfied clients have to say about their experience with our services.
Our experience was excellent. Everyone we encountered was kind, helpful, and prompt. We worked a lot with Katy Lopez who was an excellent resource and great to work with. She helped our dream kitchen remodel come to life. :) thanks to everyone at classic kitchen and bath!
We recently had the pleasure of working with Classic Kitchen and Bath to remodel our outdated kitchen. What a great experience it was working with Doug in the design and planning of our project! The quality of the cabinets and countertops is outstanding. Our kitchen is so efficient now and a pleasure to work in. Installation was so professionally done; all our needs were met and then some. If you are in need of a new kitchen, Classic Kitchen is the place to go!
EXCELLENT SERVICE AND DESIGN. I renovated a house and hired Classic Kitchen and Design to design and replace the kitchen. They did a great job and without question I got a tremendous return on the investment by listening to them and the kitchen renovation was so good it definitely sold the house in very short order. Will use them for all my Kitchen and Bath needs in the future.
Classic Kitchen & Bath was great to work with during our kitchen remodel. Our goal was to bring the existing kitchen up-to-date. They helped us with our new quartz countertops and quartz backsplash. Throughout the entire process the designer communicated every detail, every measurement, every delivery date, and more. I never felt out of the loop with what to expect. I was grateful for Crystal's expertise and I could not be more pleased with the results!
We loved our designer and she had wonderful ideas. Our kitchen has gotten bigger and now has the extra space we wanted. She responded every time I called or emailed. All the employees were helpful as well. We are very pleased with the quality and the time it took for installation.
We recently completed some upgrades to our 1987 kitchen. Crystal at Classic Kitchen & Bath was extremely helpful in educating us about countertops, ordering the cooktop and sink that I preferred and arranging for the installation of our quartz countertops. We are very pleased with the way everything turned out and would definitely use C K&B again!
This is the second time I’ve used Classic Kitchen & Bath to complete a kitchen renovation and both times they have knocked it out of the park. Most recently, we worked with Crystal, who is an absolute gem! Everything about the process was very professional and exceeded our expectations. We are VERY satisfied with our brand new kitchen!
Everything about our experience with Classic Kitchen was wonderful! We are so happy with the way our kitchen turned out and would definitely use them again. They were professional, on time (they even delivered our cabinets in the snow so they wouldn't delay us), and very kind. Highly recommend Classic Kitchen!
We thoroughly enjoyed working with Doug Little who guided us through our kitchen remodeling. He made valuable suggestions and provided needed info, ordering of supplies and referrals to trusted businesses and contractors. He knows how to listen intelligently, has a very calm demeanor and offers his own thinking without pushing. He made a difficult process pleasurable!
Doug Little at CK&B hit the ball out of the park! My wife and I decided to have a complete kitchen re-model design and construction performed, shortly after moving into our present home. I’m happy to report that even with the considerable time the two of us spent in looking at kitchen styles and materials, Doug performed as the true professional; and while incorporating our ideas, added his own - to create an enjoyable environment all can appreciate!
I used Classic to update three bathrooms in my home. They did a great job interpreting my design goals to meet my practical needs. I had a very specific budget I wanted to work within, and Doug at Classic made great suggestions and refined the design so I could get what I wanted while keeping my costs in line. Beautiful showroom, friendly and knowledgeable staff, very professional, and very quick. Highly recommended.
We met with Doug and Brook on Friday morning to look at the rendering for our kitchen update. To say I'm excited is an understatement!! I sell Pampered Chef and do a lot of cooking videos from my kitchen, and they took that into consideration and designed my kitchen to make that even easier for me and put all my items that I might need right at my finger tips. I will certainly post before and after pictures when it is done this fall. I have already recommended them to a family member and will tell anyone who ask to go see them. We will also be using them for our bathrooms as we continue updating our new home.
Classic Kitchen & Bath worked with us to remodel our bathroom about five years ago. It has been wonderful but we needed to replace some of the plastic shower frame seals. Katie and the team worked above and beyond to get us what we needed! Thanks for everything from the Paxtons!
Classic K&B did my kitchen and bathrooms for my new house - tile, cabinets, countertops. Cathy with design was a dream to work with, helping me choose quality products, refine the look, and stay in budget. This was done during COVID, when supplies were iffy - we did have to make adjustments to product choices bc of supply problems. Response time was great, ongoing communication wonderful. The kitchen and baths turned out great - I couldn't be happier!
I worked with Tim down in Wilmington, NC to renovate my kitchen with new cabinets. They are beautiful. I had one slight delay due to a measurement but was solved. I am very picky and was very pleased with the results. I would definitely use again.
Classic Kitchen and Bath came highly recommended by a friend, and they were just what I was looking for! When I first began thinking about a kitchen remodel, I thought I was going to have to DIY with an IKEA kitchen or wait for the next big Lowes sale, but Classic's estimate was SO affordable and Leslie was beyond wonderful to work with through the design and planning process. Being able to visit the showroom and put my hands on samples made me feel so comfortable about making decisions; their offerings are all so beautiful. My kitchen had some odd spaces that I was afraid would be unusable, yet Leslie was able to come up with such smart and efficient ways to use up as much space as possible (who knew I needed a cabinet for sheet pans!). Even in the middle of a pandemic, delivery and installation were a breeze, and my installer did not leave until he knew everything was prefect and to my liking. We loved working with Classic and their team so much that we are currently using them again for a remodel project in WV! I cannot speak highly enough, 10/10!
We just built a new house and worked with Gabby at Classic Kitchen & Bath for all of the cabinetry and vanities. Gabby and the team were great to work with. The kitchen and bath design was one of the hardest parts of building, and Gabby did a great job guiding us and keeping up with a myriad of details. I would highly recommend Classic Kitchen. Note: they also have cabinet options from a wide range of price points to fit almost any budget.
My son was referred to Classic Kitchen and Bath by a contractor when he was remodeling an old farmhouse. I thought that they would not be affordable, but I was surprised to find that they had many options available. Their designer, Gabby listened to our ideas, answered questions and offered a lot of helpful suggestions. She then created a design that utilized space as efficiently as possible and that looked great when installed! The entire team was easy to work with and knowledgeable. I highly recommend them!
We have used Cathy at CK&B twice and got superb outcomes in both remodeling adventures. The most recent was a master bath. We converted and useless corners garden tub into a large walk in shower with aging in place upgrades. The old shower became a nice closet. Design A+. Materials A+. Scheduling B. Like any complex project, scheduling is art and science. Our project took 5 months, working around injured subs, available crews, and deer season. We are still delighted and give CK&B and Cathy the designer, a strong recommendation.
I have known about Classic Kitchen and Bath since we moved to Harrisonburg in 2004. They replaced a countertop for us when we first moved into our home. Since our home is 60 years old, it has needed quite a few updates over the years and we have used Classic Kitchen and Bath for all of our bathroom and kitchen udpates. The owner, Jill, is very professional and also cares a lot about our community. Jill shows this through her generosity and support of many local nonprofits. I have worked with Gabby in design and she is phenomenal. Her warm and friendly personality is why I enjoy working with her. She is very knowledgeable and professional and is able to apply her knowledge in a way that is not overbearing and incorporates my transitional taste into her plans. When looking for items in their beautiful show room, I have spent time with all of the staff at one time or another and find them all to be friendly and helpful. They seem to be a good team. If you are looking for a well run, local company, with a staff that truly cares about the quality of the product and. your experience, you should choose Classic Kitchen and Bath. I will definitely work with them in the future and will continue to recommend them to friends and family.
My husband and I began our kitchen remodel in January of 2019 with a visit to Classic Kitchen & Bath. There we were introduced to Leslie who became our consummate cheerleader and trouble shooter over the next few months. The design process and the many decisions to make (cabinetry; tile; hardware; lighting; appliances; and countertops) were daunting but Leslie helped us through each step with encouragement and advice. The remodel began in late August of 2019 and was completed in early October. The result is beautiful and our kitchen now feels as if it has been this way forever! Leslie's helpful attitude and her quick response to phone calls/texts made the whole process a positive one. Thanks to Leslie and the team at Classic Kitchen, we are happy customers.
I bought a new home a few months ago, one of the cabinet hinges broke and after calling the cabinet company they informed me that all of my cabinets came from Classic Kithen and Bath, as they are the only business in the area that sells these cabinets. I came into the store and spoke with Kimberly, she quickly had me new hinges. I then asked her how much they where going to cost, she informed me that it was still under warranty. This was an awesome feeling knowing that we had nothing to worry about, as we are still settling into our new home and getting to know our home each day. Thanks for all of your help as it is wonderful to know that there are still business's that support there customers even after the sell.
I had a very good experience with Classic Kitchen & Bath. Before going to them, I got a quote from one of those on-line design outfits that claims to sell for 60% of retail. Their quote was double the cost of Classic Kitchen... and didn't include the granite.Classic Kitchen designed my kitchen and wet bar and delivered the cabinets. They are beautiful. Leslie was very detail oriented and professional. I couldn't be more pleased.
We went to Classic Kitchens because we were looking to replace our countertops with granite. The owner hooked me up with Cathy. She was very helpful and explained our options. She took care of every detail to make sure we were satisfied and explained every step of the process. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. The finished product is exactly what we were looking for. Classic Kitchens are top notch, and Cathy is great to work with.We would highly recommend them for your home remodel projects.Louis and Donna Heidel
Wonderful design ideas by Gabby. Excellent attention to detail. Measured and measured and remeasured to make sure everything was correct. Their referred installer was amazing - a real craftsman. We are very happy and very satisfied with the job.
Leslie was instrumental in ensuring the final results of our new kitchen area exceeded our expectations. It is so beautiful and inviting that we are spending extra time just sitting at our new island. We had no idea what was available or where to start and on our first visit to Classic Kitchen and Bath, we knew we were in good hands.
Classic Kitchen has installed a custom closet for us in our master bedroom. From the initial consultation to the installation, Classic Kitchen staff were helpful and professional. Gabby was patient in listening to our desires and asked questions about things we had not thought about but which led to a much more functional closet space. Installer was on time, friendly and professional, and cleaned up completely after the job was done. We are very happy with our experience and have recommended Classic Kitchen and Bath to others.
Our family had a very positive experience with this company, specifically Leslie, on a kitchen remodel and would recommend them to others. We had a tiny space (100 SQ feet) that needed to do the job of a much bigger kitchen, be ADA accessible, with a not so big budget. Leslie was very attentive, sensitive to all our requirements, professional, and easy to work with, which is saying something because we needed to do some of the work ourselves in order to stay within our means. Leslie coordinated our efforts with the contractor's work to complete the project. We would love to work with this company again.
Had my rental property kitchen renovated by Classic Kitchen & Bath... Worked with Jill throughout the project and she was a joy. The majority of our time was spent in their large showroom to make decision on each and every aspect of the kitchen. I highly recommend.
